How to Storage vMotion vCLS VMs

Loading

vCLS is a collection of multiple VMs acting as the backbone for all clustering services. These VMs pop up all the time when new ESXi hosts are being added so I wasn’t paying much attention to it until I recently decided to move all these VM’s around to a peer datastore which is when I realized SVMotion doesn’t work at all from them so this could cause an issue if we ever try to unmount the datastore so how do we fix this one?

Under the cluster > vSphere Cluster Services > Choose to Add a new Datastore for vCLS VM’s

As soon as the new data stores are added in, all these VM’s will start moving all disk files around to these data stores.
